I am obsessed with acquiring and wearing antique jewelry. I almost feel "obligated" to carry it on and bring it out into the world (I don't know if I feel indebted to the spirit of the person who wore it, or to the jewelry itself). I always have a story of where it was worn before (the Titanic, and she obviously survived). I am also obsessed with the style of Alfred Hitchcock films.
Hitchcock blonde obsessed with a penchant for antique jewels? Say less. I need to know—do you have a vintage brooch situation happening? A dramatic cocktail ring with a past? And more importantly, do you lean in and whisper a mysterious backstory to strangers at parties? Because if not, you should.
Keep carrying the legacy —those jewels chose you for a reason. And I, for one, fully support your Titanic-survivor narrative.
Thank you! I don't have a ton of brooches. However, I have several cameos, including a large coral cameo ring from around 1900 AND the matching earrings. The jeweler and I made up a story about the woman who owned these (aside from the Titanic) that she really loved her entire set of coral cameos and was devastated when the hairline fracture appeared on her ring. I do tell anyone who comments on my ring that she wore it on the Titanic, which I completely made up but do get an intuitive nudge.
I have been feeling like I'm getting weirder and weirder. I LOVE IT. It felt uncomfortable at first, but now I'm just deeply curious. I really enjoy all of the things you do to explore the self!

Oh, you’re exactly my kind of person.

I'm such a Voice Notes person, too.
The nuance just hits in a voice note.

This is the best news.
Getting weirder is just getting closer to yourself, it’s the discomfort of coming home. Curiosity looks very good on you.
I’m so glad you’re here, weirdness and all. We’re just getting started.
